Last summer, when in London for an exhibition, I saw some rather strange and intriguing trees with swirling, textured bark just around the back of the Tate Britain. I used oil pastels in heightened colours to describe this texture (A3)

My sons see-through sensory ball, that features a rotating disc inside with numbers/letters. Very curious, the way it works. Drawn rapidly as he wanted it back!!! (Blue biro on A6)

This screwed up chewing gum wrapper was, I felt, quite an interesting and challenging shape to sketch, what with the distorted text and multiple surfaces (biro on A6).
